Education means nothing without our mother planet.

The purpose of education is not only to study and get a job, to be called literate, but to be literate.

Being educated is to know that earth does not belong to us but we belong to the earth and that it is our responsibility to protect ourselves for the rage of mother nature in the name of climate change. And provide a better, more beautiful future for all it’s creatures.

We cannot protect the earth, we are too insignificant for that. But we can at least keep her happy.

We must be familiar with the famous 3Rs that everyone talks about, but only a few understand the essence of its meaning.

So on this #earthday2019 let’s talk about somethings that we can do to help the environment.

REDUCE

1. Mindful Eating

What we eat contributes around a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions and is responsible for almost 60% of global biodiversity loss.

Meat, dairy, and out of season fruits and vegetables, require space and huge inputs of water and feed, and are the major causes of forest loss.

So be mindful of what you eat, and how it is produced. This will not only help the environment, but also make you super healthy. Learn more about food!

2. Less paper & NO PLASTIC

Do you know that 40% of the world’s commercially cut timber is used for paper? And What should I say about plastic, It’s the deadliest poison ever exists.

There are a thousand ways to say no to plastic and reduce paper use. You decide which once are you gonna use.

3. Collaborate

The only thing better than singing alone in your car is having someone else to ride with and point out that you don’t actually know the right lyrics.

Pool your car or use public transport, because there is no better way to share your love for the environment with others.

REUSE

1. DONATE

Donate whatever you can, be it an old dress, or your million year old walkman. Literally everything that can make someone else’s life even a little better.

You will not only be able to cut up the clutter, but will also make some less fortunate’s life better.

2. Carry your own bag

Those fancy tote bags, I carry one even though I rarely ever go grocery shopping.

GSM Biopacks is revolutionizing the way we carry around our day to day things, that too without harming the environment.

You’ll be able to say no to plastic with style.

3. Compost

I use compost bins mostly because I am super lazy and I hate throwing out the garbage. Also because I love planting.

Whatever may be the reason with you. Composting is always a good idea for a healthy environment.

RECYCLE

1. Don’t throw it away,

Rather sell it and make some bucks. Those torn plastic bags and broken boxes, tin cans, scrap paper and cardboards.

Trust me you’ll feel pretty good and rich.

EVOLVE

We at illumnus believe that education is the only way to protect our environment and create a better and beautiful future for everyone.

A future generation that is awakened and mindful of the creation.

If you have any ideas that can help us save the environment, please tell us in comments.
